Known mostly for it's beauty of enhancing clothing, embroidery is a trend we all must have in our wardrobes.
Paired with other items, embroidery can be the statement piece you need to complete your outfit or the staple you build your wardrobe around. Other added elements such as studs on leather, can take the trend from it's original floral roots into a dark romantic look.
Each season, this particular trend makes it way onto the catwalks. From Autumn/Winter across to Spring/Summer, design houses such as Dolce & Gabbana and Oscar de La Renta are showing embellished embroidery.
A huge part of this trend has now reached down to shoewear, which is a surprise element for modern embroidery. Gucci are currently the masters with their most recent collection showing various playful characters used, for example snakes, bumblebees and of course florals.
